Editor’s note: Comprised of teams from Central California Athletic League, Central California Conference, Valley Oak League, Western Athletic Conference. Records as of Monday, April 15

(1). Buhach Colony (11-3) — The Thunder came through with two big wins over El Capitan — winning 5-3 at home and 2-1 in Merced — and remained in a tie for first in the Central California Conference with crosstown rival Atwater.

(3). Los Banos (14-1) — Tigers pitchers didn’t allow a run or a hit last week in a pair of mercy-run rules over Johansen. In fact, Los Banos’ team ERA was a ridiculous 0.34 heading into last weeks Western Athletic Conference series with Johansen.

(2). Turlock (13-5) — The bulldogs took two out of three against crosstown rival Pitman and took control of the mediocre Central California Athletic League, where only Turlock and Enochs can boast records above .500 this season.

(4). Sierra (14-3-1) — Defeated Kimball handily, 11-1, in their first matchup of the week, but had a tougher time with the Jaguars in Tracy, winning 6-5 in eight innings, to take control of the Valley Oak League race.

(5). Atwater (14-3) — The Falcons throttled a very good East Union team 13-1 and 6-0 in a pair of non-conference matchups last week.
