RIPON — The Hughson Huskies continued to live up to their "Cardiac Kids" nickname during their match-up against Ripon Christian in week two of Trans Valley League play. The game was neck-and-neck all night long with each team answering their opponents touchdowns. It was down to the wire and the game was tied at 21 with 6.5 seconds left on the clock. To clinch the win, Hughson's Arizona-bound Robert McDaniel threw a 22-yard touchdown to his younger brother Bryce. Next up in the TVL gauntlet? "That team in San Joaquin county who wears purple," said head coach Shaun King. "Escalon."
